New role to support further development of leading independent health care provider
5th October 2009: Four Seasons Health Care announces the appointment of Kevin Roberts to their Senior Management Team as Director of Strategy. He will work closely with Chief Executive Dr. Pete Calveley to further enhance development of the Group, which is one of the UK’s leading private health care providers.
In this newly created position Kevin Roberts’ responsibilities will include development and delivery of the corporate strategy and business growth and overseeing marketing activities.
Commenting on his appointment he said, “I am pleased to be joining the team who have raised the Group’s operational performance to be one of the best in the industry and I am excited to have a part in shaping the Group’s future. In particular I am delighted to be working with Pete Calveley, whose vision, leadership and passion to deliver quality care were key to me accepting this role”
The Group’s underlying operational performance and underlying processes provide a strong platform for growth, with admissions at record levels. Despite the global recession and refinancing distractions which have now been resolved the Group has managed to grow occupancy where other providers have struggled to retain occupancy levels. Underpinning this is the Group’s staff loyalty to the business and commitment to continuously enhance its service quality. More than four out of five of Four Season’s homes (85%) are rated as either ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ by the Care Quality Commission. This positions the company as one of the highest quality large care providers in England.
Kevin Roberts joins Four Seasons Health Care from the Bupa Care Services senior management team where he was responsible for leading major change across the business that played a key part in doubling the number of ‘good’ and ‘excellent’ services during his tenure. Kevin also had Board level responsibility for safety and many of the operational policies and procedures at Bupa Care Services including a number of industry firsts using his experience from other industries. As a seasoned change practitioner his career path has provided him with extensive experience of delivering major change across blue chip organisations within regulated industries. Including senior roles at Aviva PLC; Yorkshire Electricity Group and exposure to many other organisations during his time as a consultant at Coopers & Lybrand LLP.
These are exciting times for the Four Seasons Health Care Group!
